Balinese offering box in Kalimantan beads
Balinese offering box in Kalimantan beads.
A little note from Ki: traditionally, these pretty boxes are used to transport offerings to Balinese temples during religious ceremonies.
They are made from woven bamboo, then entirely decorated with beads sewn by hand by a family of artisans near Denpasar. These pretty boxes are inspired by the traditional patterns found on fabrics from the Kalimantan region on the island of Borneo. It takes several days to make this delicate and very worked pattern. Small fringes of pearls complete the style. They are used as storage boxes or precious decorative objects to give a bohemian chic look to your interior!
These boxes are handmade in Bali. Each product is unique ! Because we love handcrafting and every imperfection, products may have variations in color, appearance and size.
Each product is sourced (or manufactured), stored and then shipped from Bali.
Because all these products come from the other side of the world, we calculate the fairest possible contribution to the shipping costs.
